Located in the heart of the city centre, Kilkenny Café sits within the iconic Kilkenny Design, offering a relaxed yet refined dining experience that celebrates fresh, locally sourced food and rich craft heritage.
The redesign of the first-floor space was led by the award-winning Millimetre Design, with a brief to balance practicality with character — honouring the legacy of Kilkenny Design while refreshing the space with a calm, contemporary feel. Central to the concept was the use of handmade elements, natural tones and sustainable materials.

To bring this to life, the team selected Organoid and its distinctive Almwies finish — an organic wall surface inspired by Alpine meadows, combining Alpine hay with fragrant flower petals including marguerites, heather and lavender. As one of the most expressive botanical wall panels in the Organoid collection, Almwies introduced a tactile, sensory-rich natural wall that connected the interior with nature while aligning perfectly with the café’s sustainability ethos.
