Off The Wall Creative recently partnered with the University of Ulster (UU) to enhance their Welcome Week experience through striking and immersive installations featuring the Dazzler Range from Surface Wow. The Challenge

The Marketing and Communications lead for Welcome Week approached Off The Wall Creative with an ambitious vision. They sought to create an engaging atmosphere that would captivate students and enhance their Welcome Week experience.

OTWC’s client outlined two key concepts:

Unique Selfie/Immersive Walkway: The goal was to transform a corridor in the BC building into an extraordinary walkway. The challenge was to make it removable and wall-friendly, ensuring no damage to the existing structure.
UU Portal: Inspired by the New York/Dublin Portal, the idea was to design interactive portals across campuses. These installations would enable students to connect with one another in real-time through colorful frames that housed screens and webcams.

The project came with its fair share of challenges. With a fast-approaching Welcome Week deadline, rapid planning and execution were essential. Moreover, seamlessly integrating screens, computers, and interactive elements while maintaining an attractive design required careful coordination.
