With a focus on fresh, local ingredients and a talented team of chefs, it offers a delicious dining experience from morning to night, all while celebrating Kilkenny Design’s heritage.
The Challenge:
The talented team at Millimetre Design, undertook the revitalization of Kilkenny Café’s first-floor space. With a legacy of excellence in interior design and branding, Millimetre Design was entrusted with the task of infusing functionality with aesthetics, echoing the essence of Kilkenny Design while elevating the dining experience.
“The concept for Kilkenny Café was to bring in handmade & craft elements using natural colours & materials, reusing existing items where possible and bringing in some sustainable materials. We decided to use Organoid wallpaper as this product is hand cut and climate friendly, the natural colour of the product also worked well with our colour scheme”.
The Solution:
Orla embarked on a mission to seamlessly blend handmade craftsmanship and sustainability, ultimately selecting Organoid’s Almweisn.
Almweisn epitomises the vibrancy of Alpine meadows, marrying Alpine hay with an array of fragrant flower petals, including marguerites, heather, and lavender. This choice not only aligned with the café’s natural colour palette but also resonated with its commitment to sustainability.
The utilization of Organoids Almweisn in the “Kilkenny Café” branding was further amplified. The talented team at Freeneys Graphics skilfully incorporated Organoids lettering into the design, meticulously enhancing the concept’s presentation.
The Result:
The integration of Organoids brought new life to Kilkenny Café, smoothly blending contemporary design with Kilkenny Design’s heritage. Visitors now find themselves in an atmosphere that combines sophistication with comfort, inviting them to enjoy a dining experience that merges tradition and modernity. With each look and every breath, patrons connect with nature, promoting well-being and a feeling of peace amid the bustling city centre.
