Adventure Branding undertook a carefully considered project to transform Unique Day Spa into a calm, immersive retreat. The brief focused on creating a peaceful environment that supports relaxation and wellbeing, while reflecting the spa’s strong commitment to sustainability and natural design. The result is a balanced space where sound control and visual impact work together, combining acoustic performance with biophilic design elements.
Spas demand a highly controlled sensory environment. For this project, the key objectives were to reduce ambient noise, improve acoustic comfort, and enhance the overall aesthetic of the space. Adventure Branding needed solutions that would soften sound, introduce natural textures, and align seamlessly with the spa’s eco-conscious values. The challenge lay in blending functional performance with a design language that felt calming, refined, and connected to nature.
To meet both acoustic and visual requirements, Adventure Branding selected a combination of cork and moss products from Surface Wow, bringing together performance-led materials with natural beauty.
Cork 3D Forms – Pyramid Natural
Surface Wow’s Cork 3D Forms were specified to enhance sound absorption throughout the space. As these panels are acoustic cork, they significantly reduce noise levels, helping to create a quieter and more serene atmosphere, essential for a wellness environment.
The cork’s natural texture and warm tone also add depth and character, making these cork panels both functional and visually appealing. As a sustainable cork wall solution, the material supports eco-friendly design while delivering excellent acoustic performance. Used as a decorative cork panel, it reinforces the spa’s organic, nature-inspired aesthetic.
Evergreen Premium Moss in blue.
For a strong visual statement, Evergreen Premium Moss was used to create a bespoke feature wall incorporating the spa’s logo. This preserved moss wall was produced in a calming blue tone, introducing colour without overwhelming the space.
Beyond its visual impact, the moss contributes to indoor comfort by helping regulate humidity and supporting a healthier internal climate. Framed with a lateral moss edge, the installation feels refined and intentional, an elegant example of moss wall design in a wellness setting.
The completed space delivers noticeable improvements across both function and atmosphere. The introduction of acoustic cork panels transformed the sound environment, minimising noise and allowing guests to fully relax. The spa now offers a calm, tranquil setting that supports mindfulness and wellbeing.
The natural moss wall quickly became a focal point, adding texture, colour, and a sense of nature to the interior. Together with the cork finishes, it creates a layered, biophilic environment that feels grounded and restorative. By combining cork and moss, both renewable, low-maintenance materials, the project reinforces the spa’s sustainability ethos. The use of a sustainable cork wall alongside a preserved moss installation demonstrates how eco-friendly materials can also deliver premium design and performance.
