This standout project at BayView Hotel, Kilkee, was delivered in collaboration with interior designer Tess Stanford, known for captivating hospitality spaces across Clare.

Tess was tasked with transforming a traditional hotel bar into the main restaurant space, respecting the building’s heritage while introducing a refined, contemporary atmosphere. Rather than conventional finishes, the brief called for a sustainable wood wall solution that could reinterpret traditional materials in a more luxurious way.

Tess selected Phoenix Wall Panels from the Wonderwall Studios range, supplied by Surface Wow. These handcrafted wood panels deliver depth, texture and craftsmanship, referencing the richness of reclaimed wood while offering a refined, consistent finish ideal for commercial interiors — their ornate detailing and durability making them a standout choice for hospitality settings where longevity is essential. The panels were paired with smoked mirror walls, white timber mouldings, leather finishes and ornate glass fittings, creating a layered interior that feels both classic and contemporary.
