Crafty is a delightfully Irish, earth-friendly gift shop founded by Aine McDonald in 2021. Rooted in mindfulness, creativity and sustainability, Crafty brings together thoughtful, artistic and beautifully made products, inspired by Aine’s background as a psychotherapist and her passion for Irish craft.
In 2023, Crafty expanded to include a vibrant Coffee House. Within this new space, Aine was keen to transform an empty void into something meaningful and engaging. The solution came in the form of Corkwall Kite in Green, a striking example of 3D cork wall panels that combine texture, design and purpose.
These cork wall panels are made from 100% post-industrial recycled waste, making them a truly responsible choice. As sustainable wall panels, they align perfectly with Crafty’s ethos of protecting the earth while supporting innovative Irish business. Beyond their sustainability credentials, the panels also offer excellent sound absorption, functioning as acoustic cork wall panels that help soften noise levels when the café is buzzing with customers
The geometric form of Corkwall Kite creates a bold yet calming feature wall, showcasing how decorative cork tiles can be used as impactful cork wall décor in commercial interiors. The result is a welcoming, mindful space where customers naturally gravitate to sit, relax and enjoy their coffee.
Aine has created an environment that invites people to slow down and enjoy a mini utopia of coffee, art, craft and self-care. Her vision is to spark joy when choosing unique gifts, while spreading love, supporting sustainability and championing Irish creativity.
