Under the leadership of Seán, Ursula, and their son Bryan, the company has become a trusted name in the industry. Houston Office Interiors, their specialized division, focuses on office furniture, design, and fitout projects. They have built a reputation for delivering personalized service, expert advice, and exceptional value to customers across Ireland.
The Challenge:
The project’s primary challenge was to revitalize an outdated and heavily trafficked office and reception area at a prestigious 3rd level college in Cork. The goal was to create a more modern, inviting space that better represented the institution.
The Solution:
In response to the challenge, Houston’s Office Interiors undertook a comprehensive redesign of the office area. This encompassed everything from lighting, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and flooring to furniture, seating, acoustic panels, and storage. Sean and his team collaborated with expert subcontractors to create a contemporary and welcoming reception and office area. Renowned color coordinator and interior designer Maura Mackey played a pivotal role in crafting a unique wall feature using Wow Wall Concordia panels, incorporating an Evergreen Moss diamond panel.
Wow Walls Concordia:
Wow Walls Concordia is a versatile material that enhances commercial spaces. It was chosen to create a visually striking and impressive environment, particularly as the full-height walls illuminated by added lighting greet visitors upon entering the reception area.
Evergreen Moss:
Evergreen Moss, a 100% genuine moss panel, provided a natural touch to the office design. It’s easy installation and zero maintenance requirements made it an ideal choice for bringing the outdoors inside. Moreover, the Evergreen Moss panels offered excellent acoustic properties, absorbing up to 90% of ambient sound, promoting a tranquil and productive work environment.
The Result:
The client expressed great satisfaction with the quality of the work and the punctuality of the subcontractors. They were especially delighted with how well-received the revamped space was by visitors. Most importantly, they appreciated the functionality and benefits of working in a clean, brightly colored, and coordinated workspace.
